It's truly unfortunate to hear that legendary saxophonist Clarence Clemons had passed away on Saturday 6/18/2011. I had the privilege to hear him perform live many times with Bruce Springsteen & the E-Street Band & as a solo artist as well. He could perform the saxophone and give it life like no one else! Clarence Clemons and the rest of the E-Street Band were always my most favorite musicians of all time since I was a small child. RIP Big Man!
I have included this YouTube video on Brian Williams from NBC Nightly News. He does a terrific job in discussing how much Clarence Clemons meant to Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band. Brian Williams discusses that Clarence was truly wonderful when he was playing the saxophone and the huge significance he made to the band.
